Iowa is a state located in the midwest, on the tip of the Great Plains. In "The Crazies" the events unfold in Ogden Marsh, Iowa, which is located somewhere close to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as seen in the ending of "The Crazies". Most of the outside shots were filmed in or around the small town of Lennox, Iowa, and most of the indoor shots were filmed in Georgia.
